Where we came from: Known Associates Events was established in 2007 by seasoned Event Manager, Tamara Kiragu.
The company has a community focus, creating exclusive themed events for a niche market and donating the majority of profits from each event to Australian charities. Since its inception Known Associates Events has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities including The Breast Cancer Foundation WA, The Centre for Cerebral Palsy, The Love Angels Project and more.
Using what Tamara describes as a ‘Robin Hood philosophy’ of bringing luxury events to an affluent Perth market and donating the proceeds back to the community, Known Associates has been heralded as a breath of fresh air for the Western Australian event scene.
Keeping in line with a community-based operating concept, Known Associates Events offers Public Relations-based university students work placements in their final year of study.
The name ’Known Associates’ encapsulates the small city’s big personalities and the close link the populace share. Tamara moulded this common underworld term into a business name believing it signified the tri-fold concept of party-goers, charities and students, connected through a network of premium entertainment and philanthropy.
