Caught Book Launch

Client | Raathi Chota

Location | Feld & Co, Booragoon

Close to KAE’s hearts, the Caught Book Launch for Perth schoolgirl Raathi Chota was an inspiring celebration for the talented young author’s achievements.

As the sun spectacularly set over Feld & Co, guests arrived buzzing with excitement. An emerald and blush glow was cast over the industrial outdoor laneway enchanted by festoon lighting and a tree-sized projection of the ‘Caught’ book cover. Adding to the movie-like scene was a killer Harley-Davidson from Fraser’s Motorcycles - the ultimate entry statement #instamoment as VIPs sipped on signature mocktails under the emerging stars.

Inside, imagery of a determined-looking Raathi modelling for her upcoming Sunday Times Magazine feature was projected onto crisp walls alongside myriad reviews written by the author’s fans. Guest’s formed lines beside a stylised book stack which sat next to Raathi as she personalised signed copies of ‘Caught’ for eager purchasers.

Handmade vegetarian gyoza, blistered tomato bruschetta and pumpkin and feta croquettes were just a few of the gourmet canapés served by Chef Oli for the evening. To sweeten the night, customised chocolate cupcakes topped with mini edible pages and silver bling, were the star of the show, created by Mani from Sweet Harvest Cakes. These were complimented by marbled, hand-pressed ‘Caught’ cookies.

A self-operational photo booth supplied by Perth Events Co gave guests the ultimate chance to play dress-ups and capture side-splitting memories from the evening.

Followed an insightful Q & A with Raathi, the high schooler gave a heart-felt speech with a level of maturity well beyond her 17 years of age. Encompassed in her family’s arms, the shy teenager braved the 50+ crowd to deliver her story, thank her parents and us at Known Associates for the support, leaving guests in tears and full of admiration.

The summers night ended with a barrage of photos, cupcake demolitions and a hell of a lot of “Congratulations!” making the rounds.

A true inspiration, you can check out Raathi’s STM Magazine feature HERE, where she starred alongside other amazing Aussie women for STM’s International Women’s Day edition.

Raathi’s book, Caught, is available from Amazon.com.au along with her second book in the trilogy recently released, Flawed.
