  • You can bring 1 adult immediate family member as your guest

  • Yes you can, however you are unable to bring shade structures due to venue conditions of entry.

  • Yes, food and non-alcoholic drinks can be taken into the venue.

  • This is an alcohol-free event. The Perth Zoo is not a licensed venue and as such does not allow alcohol to be bought into, or consumed, on the premises.

  • Please send an email to events@knownassociates.com.au to arrange for your tickets to be sent to you, to take your family at another time (will not include a meal)

  • There will be no official photographer on the day, however there will be selfie frames for you to take photos of your family, with a QR code for you to share this, should you choose to.

  • Routes 30 & 31 run between Perth Busport (on Wellington St), Elizabeth Quay Bus Station and Perth Zoo’s entrance [stop #11847]. Buses on these routes are low-floor/accessible.

    We recommend boarding at Elizabeth Quay Bus Station for the fastest journey between the Perth CBD and the Zoo (6 mins).

    By Train

    Joondalup or Mandurah Lines - Get off at Elizabeth Quay Train Station and transfer to the Elizabeth Quay Bus Station (next door) to catch Route 30 or 31.


    Midland, Armadale, Thornlie & Fremantle lines – Get off at Perth Train Station and transfer to the Perth Busport (next door) to catch Route 30 or 31.

     

    By Ferry

    Ferries depart from Elizabeth Quay Jetty (Perth CBD) every 15 minutes daily (September to June) or every 30 minutes daily (June to September). Journey time is approximately 10 minutes.


    Perth Zoo is a 500m walk from the Mends Street Jetty (South Perth) via shops and restaurants.

     

    By Taxi

    Tell your driver to take you to “Perth Zoo”. They’ll drop you right at the Zoo entrance. (If they need a street address, it’s 20 Labouchere Road, South Perth).

     

    Drive Yourself and Parking (at own cost)

    The Zoo is only a five-minute drive from Perth’s city centre. Take the Mill Point Road freeway exit-ramp from both the north and south direction.

    By Bicycle, Scooter, Blades or on Foot

    Safe, dual-use paths (cycle and walking) circle the Swan River from the CBD to South Perth and then it is only 500m from the river up to Perth Zoo.

     

    This site provides maps and information on the network of cycle/walking paths which will get you to and from Perth Zoo (you will need to zoom in to see the pathways clearly).

     

    Free bicycle racks are available just outside the Zoo. We recommend a lock for your bicycle since it’s a busy, public place. (Please note that you cannot take your bicycle, rollerblades, skateboard or other forms of personal transport into Perth Zoo)

  • Yes – the accessibility map groups the facilities into audio-visual, tactile/interactive, sensory/olfactory, tranquil/rest areas, and aural/keeper talks, so that people with a range of needs can plan their visit. It also shows ACROD parking, doors and inclines.
