The only event in WA of its kind!

For the second time in WA the zero2hero event, In Your Head, hit Perth and we were over the moon to be a part of it.

On Thursday the 7th of September 2017, hundreds of high school students came together to talk about mental health. Former Fremantle Dockers Captain, Matthew Pavlich, Lachie Neale, Paul Hasleby, Dr. Arne Rubinstein, Amy Coombe and Annika Rose inspired the crowd and explored the many ways of maintaining good mental health.

When students weren’t listening to the heroes, they were getting down in a Beyonce dance class, laughing out loud during yoga and expressing themselves through slam poetry.

In 2017 we can all agree that the pressures placed on students by school and society can be harmful to one’s mental health, that’s why it’s vital for students to understand how to look after themselves and their minds. Managing anxious thoughts, stress and exams, in the digital world, LGBTQI and overcoming adversity were the main topics the heroes discussed with the students.

It was an amazing feeling to help zero2hero look out for the greater good of tomorrow’s young people. They’re our future!

Gallery and video to come. Stay tuned.
