SPM 2021 Conference & Gala

GPs, Supervisors and Practice Managers from across the state converged on the Rendezvous Hotel Scarborough for two days of learning, networking and celebration at the SPM Conference and Gala.
Hosted by Western Australian General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET), the 250+ delegates were welcomed by a branded photo wall adorned with native Australian flora by Maple & Wren, before receiving custom lanyards, glass water bottles, hand sanitisers and an ice-breaker badge to get the conversation started.
The plenary session opened with an entertaining Welcome to Country from Nick Abraham and the Wadumbah Dance Group, before delegates split into breakout sessions for the afternoon.
Meal breaks throughout the conference were enjoyed beachside on the deck as a roving GIF photo booth made its way through the crowd, capturing attendees.
In the evening, guests were transported to another world at the SPM Gala. A branded photo wall with dramatic red, orange and gold florals lit up the foyer during pre-dinner drinks.
Guests entered the room to the acoustic sounds of Stella Kelly, as red and gold shafts of light shone through the mist. Branded Lindt chocolate bars sat atop each side plate and structural centrepieces adorned the tables.
Photos snapped by Adept Photo Booths during the conference and gala came together on screen and on canvas in a mosaic artwork, thanking Supervisors and Practice Managers.
Award winners were announced throughout the night and gifted hampers overflowing with gourmet Western Australian produce. Later in the evening, DJ KP drew everyone to the dance floor from a gold art deco bar on stage.
Day two of the conference saw guests greeted with Inner Ego’s freshly-pressed juices and another stunning day on the deck at Scarborough beach between engaging educational presentations.
