Meet the Buyer and Supplier Forum

Client | Main Roads Western Australia

Location | RAC Arena

A successful coming together of industry, fostering meaningful business relationships for Indigenous suppliers to engage in state government projects.

All screens within the RAC Arena turned teal with the Meet the Buyer and Supplier Forum branding, ready for Buyers (Tier One Business Booth Holders) and Suppliers (Aboriginal Businesses) to gather, learn and network.

Guests entered the RAC Arena under the super feature LED screen that read ‘Meet the Buyer and Supplier Forum 2021’. Lanyard on, and Australian Indigenous barista coffee in hand, they headed into the plenary to join 400+ other guests.

Formalities began with a beautiful Welcome to Country by Elder, Neville Collard. Ben Wyatt continued the plenary, welcoming Hon. Rita Saffioti MLA Minister for Transport; Planning; Ports and Peter Woronzow, Acting Director General Transport, to talk about industry pathways forward. Ben Wyatt closed the plenary with a Q&A with five panellists. Guests sent their questions via the online platform, Slido, accessed via the QR code on the back of their lanyard.

The Main Arena ignited around the ‘fire pit’ for a stand up lunch and Businesses Networking Session Exhibition. Open booths branded with logos and additional branding, with lush green plants between, boarded the edge of the Arena floor, creating a circle to emulate a traditional gathering. To complete the floor plan vision, the space featured a fire pit with florals acting as ‘flames’, seagrass rugs, ottomans and a garden oasis which created the meeting circle and atmospheric centre piece for the exhibition space.

As the Networking Session came to an end, Buyers were encouraged to leave their booth and mingle with Suppliers and other Buyers within the meeting circle. Soft drinks and hot canapés were served to guests with an option to purchase alcoholic beverages at a cash bar.
