Pearls. Coral. Mermaids. Divers. Over 1,200 guests, and one night to say thank you
RAC set the Jewels of the Sea theme and KAE took it beneath the surface. Crown Ballroom became an underwater palace built for RAC employees from across WA to sit back, be spoilt, and celebrate the people who make RAC shine, at their annual recognition gala.
KAE took the brief and dove straight in.
Aqua light spilled across pearls, shells, sculptural coral and sweeping florals, arranged to ripple from table to table.
Pre-dinner drinks swirled as Neptune and his mermaid held court from a sunken martini glass, as vintage scuba divers roamed the foyer through saltwater bubbles. Ocean visuals took guests deep to the sounds of live electric violin and vocals from Onyx Strings, with a standout performance of Rihanna's Diamonds providing an entertainment jewel in the evening.
Following formalities, a Mermaid Glitter Bar was the place to be as the photo booth flashed, dessert arrived and the dance floor erupted as DJ Selina Murby raised the sea level through to midnight. At night's end, guests took underwater florals home; a small piece of the celebration to keep.
Underneath all the styling, entertainment and spectacle, the brief was simple: make RAC's people feel seen. For one night, every detail was theirs.
